My First CD, “Don’t Bring The Kids” Was Recorded In 2004

From the liner notes:

“Chicago’s naughtiest chanteuse, lyricist and songwriter carries the the burlesque stylings pioneered by Mae West, Sophie Tucker, and Belle Barth into the 21st century.
Whether Carla sings her original, inspirational ballad; her outrageous song parodies; or classic standards from the American songbook, listeners relish her unique delivery.

From Quirky Birque:

Last night, me and my Chicago girls met at Katerina's, a neighborhood jazz lounge owned by a fabulous Greek broad who kisses everyone on the cheek when they order. We had chocolate martinis with Grand Marnier and rolled on the floor (decorously, of course, and without spilling a drop of martini) at Carla Gordon's raucous standards -- "Everybody's Getting Fucked But Me" and "Can't Stop Using That Hand of Mine" -- sung with such a bawdy enthusiasm by the white-haired grandmotherly chanteuse, I almost peed my thong.
